Learning Access Support Fund
Online Tutor Connect believes financial hardship should not automatically prevent a learner from receiving meaningful academic support. Through the HSU Academy Support Fund, qualifying students and families may receive assistance toward eligible tutoring and educational services.
How the fund works
Voluntary contributions are designated and tracked for this restricted support fund. Assistance is intended for qualifying individuals who demonstrate financial need, subject to available funds, service availability, and an appropriate service match. Recipients may be located in California, elsewhere in the United States, or internationally.
When assistance is approved, the fund may pay or subsidize the cost of eligible services provided through HSU Academy Inc. and its programs. The goal is practical: to reduce the affordability gap so that more people can participate in learning, professional growth, tutoring, movement, or wellness services that may otherwise be out of reach.
Transparency
HSU Academy Inc. is a California for-profit corporation, not a nonprofit organization or a 501(c)(3). Contributions should not be assumed to be tax-deductible. Services funded for approved recipients may be provided by HSU Academy Inc. and/or professionals engaged through its programs at established service rates. Because HSU Academy Inc. is a for-profit business, those rates may include ordinary operating costs and a business margin.
Contributions to this campaign are intended for the stated support purpose rather than unrestricted general business use. Assistance is not guaranteed and depends on available funding, demonstrated need, program fit, and service availability.
